It is OFFICIAL...Back to School I Go!

I am self diagnosing myself as AADD...or Adult Attention Deficit Disorder.

Adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (also referred to as Adult ADHD, Adult ADD, or AADD) is the common term used to describe the neuropsychiatric condition attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) when it is present in adults. Current convention refers to this condition as adult ADHD, according to the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR), 2000 revision. It has been estimated that 5% of the global population has ADHD (including cases not yet diagnosed).

I am afraid that I fall into that 5% of the population that is afflicted with AADD. However, AADD and all, I am venturing back to the hallowed halls of the Louisiana Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary aka LMBIS.

I recently came to the knowledge that I am 3 classes away from from a Master of English Bible Degree. I need 18 more hours plus I will have to write a 25,000 word thesis. I am excited about the opportunity to continue my seminary education. I am looking forward to the fellowship with students and faculty alike. My first four years of school were some of the best years of my life and I am so pumped about the opportunity to go back.

Bottom line is that I am going to need your prayers as I sit in classes throughout the day, thankfully only two days a week this go round. AADD doesn't lend itself to well to sitting through classes but I will try a homemade remedy...a mountain dew for breakfast and another at lunch. Since most of the early treatments for ADD were basically caffiene shots I figure the Mt. Dew will serve the same purpose.

Aug. 18...LMBIS...here comes Big J...KJV in hand, tie around my neck and 3 more preachers from Stockwell Road in tow! Talk about pressure...I have to excel above those three fellas or I will never hear the end of it!
